Fair Isle sweaters are a fashion must, and the Wool and the Gang Taylor Sweater Kit gives you everything you need to create the sweater of your dreams.
Fair Isle sweaters are a fashion must, and the Wool and the Gang Taylor Sweater Kit gives you everything you need to create the sweater of your dreams. The pattern is roomy enough to accommodate layers for winter or just give you a cool oversize look. And the detailing is challenging enough to keep even the most experienced knitter on their toes.
The challenge in this sweater comes with the colourwork. You’ll alternate between not two, not three, but four strands in order to create the pattern. Your reward will be the kind of sweater that pop stars around the globe dream of wearing. You’ll look cool while staying warm when you wear the Taylor Sweater.
The Taylor Sweater kit uses Wool and the Gang’s Alpachino Merino. It’s a bulky alpaca/merino blend that is soft, squishy and oh so huggable. (Just like you’ll be if you’re wearing this sweater!) It’s 100% natural and a perfect weight for year-round knitting.
Stumped for what colourways to select? Shoot us an email and we’d be happy to help you choose the perfect shades.
Are you looking for your very first stranded colourwork project? Look no further. If you have made a number of knitting projects of increasing difficulty, including projects with colour changes, and are secure in the techniques you’ve learned, then you are ready to make the Taylor Sweater Knitting Kit! You will learn stranded colourwork and alternate between four colours to make the pattern.
