Keep warm and comfortable with luxury and elegance with this unique cabled hat, made in one of our most luxe yarns. This chunky cabled hat is designed for Zealana Air Chunky, which is a soft, warm, and unique blend of NZ brushtail possum, cashmere, and silk. Cleverly designed, this pattern starts by knitting the cable end to end, and then grafting the ends to make the cabled brim. Then pick up around the edge of the brim and knit the ribbed crown in the round. Designed by Laura Zukaite for Zealana Yarn, and made available to you as a free download courtesy of Zealana.
Needed:
- 2 balls of Zealana Air Chunky (sample is in L07 Gold)
- 4.5 mm needles (or size needed to get gauge) in your choice of flat knitting (straights or circulars) for the cable; circulars for the base of the crown, and your choice of small circumference (double-pointed needles, flyers, or mini circulars) for the top of crown
- Gauge is 20 sts and 26 rows = 4”/10cm using on 4.5 mm in 1×1 Rib Pattern
- Finished measurements are 19” Bottom Opening Circumference and 8” Height with Folded Brim
