Jumbo yarn is great for big stitch projects, arm knitting, finger crochet and more. It’s also known as 7 weight, roving or géant yarn, or 16 ply, or 1-4 wpi. According to the Craft Yarn Council, it has a gauge range of 6 stitches or fewer for both knit and crochet. For crochet you’ll need a 15mm / Q size or larger hook.
