Mōrena means morning in te reo Māori, the Māori language, and this bag is just right for you to grab in the morning and put your essentials in for the day.
Description
Mōrena means morning in te reo Māori, the Māori language. The Mōrena bag pattern makes a bag that is just right for you to grab in the morning and put your essentials in for the day. The strap is ribbed, so when you tie it off to the right length for you it will remain tied. It can also be adapted to be larger if you want a bag large enough for a tablet or other items. (A larger bag will require more yarn.) Made in Kiwi Fingering, a blend of merino wool, brushtail possum, and cotton.
Made available to you as a free download courtesy of Zealana. This pattern is knitted flat and seamed afterwards.
After you check out you will get sent a link to download your files. This link doesn’t expire and you can download as many times as you want!

About Zealana
Woolyarns, the owner of Zealana, was the first company to spin possum yarns. They created the Zealana brand in order to showcase their ultra soft, light, warm and durable luxury hand knitting yarns. Their Performa series of yarns features machine washable possum blends.
Settlers brought the non-native possum to New Zealand in the 19th century for the purpose of building a fur industry. Then the possums devastated New Zealand’s bird population. When you buy Zealana yarns, you are helping manage the possum population in New Zealand, and helping prevent possum predation on New Zealand native birds. You’re also getting yarn made with a fibre that is breathable, warmer than either merino or cashmere, and luxuriously soft.
