Urth | Dubblo Hat Kit

The Dubblo hat pattern is a twist on a classic fitted beanie. It is reversible, and has a Latvian braid edge detail on the brim which elevates this simple shape to something just that bit more special and unique. It has enough length that you can choose to fold the brim for a more fitted look, or leave it unfolded for a a slightly slouchy look. Designed for two shades of Urth Yarns Spiral Grain Sport, each shade is a gradient to really create a beautiful look, and Spiral Grain is delightfully soft on your skin. 

Dubblo starts from the crown of the first layer with a circular cast on and continues to the body after stitches are increased. 2-color Latvian braid is worked where the 2 layers are intersecting before starting the second layer in C2. The work continues with the body of the second layer and finishes with stitch decreases for the crown of the second layer, mirroring the first
layer.

Dubblo is designed specifically for Urth Yarns by Yiğitcan from Pufido Knits (they/them), a clever designer who creates unusual and creative pieces.

The primary sample is shown in Katsura and Sycamore. The last photo shows the sample we have at events that you may have seen, in Blue Spruce and Hickory.

• Spiral Grain Sport, in 1 or 2 skein(s) for each color
  • 1 skein of Spiral Grain Sport for each color may not be enough for the largest
    size. So, consider having 2 skeins if working the largest size or if a longer beanie is desired.

• 3.0 mm / US 2.5  circular needles; or size needed to obtain gauge.
