Why We Love Turned Wooden Shawl Pins
Shawl pins are great for keeping shawls in place around your shoulders. These wooden shawl pins are beautiful enough to catch the eye, but won’t overwhelm your beautiful handiwork. The natural look is also wonderful if you do historic recreation or cannot wear metal for some reason. The crafter sands each piece thoroughly so it won’t snag on your yarn.
How to Use a Wooden Shawl Pin
There are a couple of different ways you can use this pin to keep your shawl in place. In some circumstances, you will want to thread the stick through the stitches in your fabric in order to hold it in place.
You may also use it in tandem with a ring that you already have. For something that is more tightly woven, you may wish to thread the ends of your shawl through the ring above the pin, over the pin, and then back through the ring under the pin.
