The Yarn Queen | Wooden Notions Dish
NZ$20.00
Both beautiful and practical, this wood notions dish may become an heirloom.
This beautiful wooden notions dish was designed by The Yarn Queen and hand turned from sustainably sourced wood in Wainuiomata, Wellington, NZ. We thought long and hard about what would be most useful for a knitter or crocheter when we designed it.
At 7.5 cm x 2.0 cm, it fits in the palm of your hand or on the arm of your couch. It is flat bottomed for stability, and has gently sloping sides. That makes it perfect for stitch markers, beads, or buttons, because it is so easy to slide them out. Keep one near you while you work!
Why We Love The Wooden Notions Dish
We love these because they speak to all of our values. These are artisan accessories, and because the wood used for them is sustainably sourced, they are ethical as well as practical. And it doesn’t hurt that these dishes are also beautiful to look at and wonderful to hold.
About The Yarn Queen
Ruth and Joy are a mother and daughter duo. Both passionate knitters and crocheteuse. Both sewists. Both embroiderers. Both fans of the funky and traditional alike. If there’s a way to make it with fibres, you can be sure we’ve tried it. We are, quite simply, two people who adore both making and helping others to make.
