Why We Love The Native Bird Notions Pouch
We are big fans of all New Zealand wildlife here at The Yarn Queen. The kākāriki, known by some as a New Zealand parakeet, is one of our favourites. They are also the only native bird species in New Zealand that can be held and bred in captivity. This has helped to reintroduce them at sanctuaries like Tiritiri Matangi. These are currently a protected and endangered native species, but if you are in the Wellington area you can see and hear them at Zealana. We are so happy to have a pouch featuring this wonderful world. We’re also glad to give everyone a chance to have a bit of New Zealand in their project bag.
