While chunky knits are often perceived as simple, this book proves that they don’t have to be. While still having plenty of options for beginners, the patterns’ skill level ranges from easy to advanced, with the book including design with many elaborate details and interesting techniques, textures and constructions that will challenge and captivate all knitters. Expect bold cables, beautiful colourwork, fascinating textures, and generous proportions.  The designs are contemporary, stylish, relaxed and quick to make — perfect for those not patient enough to make a whole sweater in fine yarn.

What do we actually mean by “chunky”? In this collection, the patterns typically have a gauge of 12–14 stitches, or fewer, to 4″ / 10 cm. Most of the designs are worked in worsted-weight, chunky or super-chunky yarns or by holding multiple strands of thinner yarns together. This gives you that lusciously plump feel when holding them in your hands. At this gauge, knitting is much faster — making for ideal last-minute gifts or quick ways to get cosy!

The book contains 52 patterns for chunky knits. 51 knitting patterns and 1 crochet patterns; 11 sweaters, 7 cardigans, 4 slipovers, 3 vests, 1 dress, 8 scarves, 2 cowls, 6 hats, 5 mittens, 2 pillows, 1 balaclava, 1 bag, 1 blanket.

Sweaters, cardigans, slipovers, vests and the dress come in 8–10 sizes and are graded to fit at least a 152 cm/60 inch chest.
