All the fun and glory of Hedgehog Fibre’s famous Sock Yarn in bite size pieces! These 20 gram tasters are perfect for building your own pack for patterns designed for minis and advents, for adding pops of colour or small bits of colourwork into another project, or for making i-cord necklaces and bracelets – or whatever else you can think of! This fingering weight superwash yarn is 90% merino wool and 10% nylon. And it’s soooo nice on your skin! The 21.5 micron merino wool is mulesing free, softly spun, non-scratchy yarn. The perfect balance of soft and durable, the dye takes especially beautifully on this base. Sock Yarn is the ideal yarn for accessories, especially Stephen West designs for fingering weight yarns. It can also be held double for a heavier weight project which makes a soft, supple fabric with even more variegation.

NOTE: this yarn is hand dyed and there can be considerable variation between skeins, even when simultaneously dyed. We have used photos supplied by Hedgehog Fibres to ensure accuracy. However, some batches vary from these photos more than others, and not all photos are on the Sock Yarn base. So, if you are unsure about any colour, please email us and we will be happy to answer any questions or send you a photograph of our current stock! We also recommend alternating skeins if you use more than one skein of the same colourway in the same project, and want a consistent look (eg for sweaters).
