Skinny Singles Colour Notes

This yarn is hand dyed and there can be considerable variation between skeins, even when simultaneously dyed. We have used photos supplied by Hedgehog Fibres for an accurate representation.  Some batches vary from these photos more than others, and not all photos are on the Skinny Singles base. So, if you are unsure about any colour, please email us and we will be happy to answer any questions or send you an actual photo of our stock! We also recommend alternating skeins if more than one skein of the same colourway is used in the same project, and a consistent look is desired, e.g.  if you’re knitting a sweater.

Skinny Singles Patterns

There are several gorgeous patterns that use Skinny Singles, often in combination with Kidsilk Lace.

The Shockwaves wrap pattern is free, gorgeous, enormous and uses only Skinny Singles.

The Birds of a Feather shawl leverages the interesting colourways of Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles yarns along with the brilliant lacework that Kidsilk Lace is excellent for.

We’ve written about the Diaphanous Raglan Sweater pattern before in our Balloon Sleeves pattern roundup! The pattern also has optional short flutter sleeves that make it a summer delight. It’s a great pattern for a combination of Skinny Singles and Kidsilk Lace.

The vintage styling of Fabel Knitwear’s Sylphide Jacket pattern is irresistible. If the bishop sleeves weren’t glorious enough, the bluebell pattern on the back adds the kind of detailing and complexity that is sure to attract positive comments!
