Hawkes Bay Yarny Army | Appeal Gift

Like most of us, we are horrified by the devastation cyclone Gabrielle has left behind, particularly in the Hawkes Bay. Our good friends at The Yarny Army have been knitting for people in need in Hawkes Bay for many years, and now they are in need. They are preparing to knit as many woolies as they can for people who have lost their clothing, but they in turn have lost many of the supplies they use to do so, and have put out an appeal for people to donate yarn or knitted items.

If you want to contribute to their appeal, you can purchase a 50g ball of yarn from the discounted options here. We won’t send this to you, instead we will make plans to ensure that all the yarn bought is supplied direct to The Yarny Army.

If you want to support The Yarny Army another way, you can also order one of our gift vouchers – simply put yarnyarmy@mail.com as the recipient email. We will work with The Yarny Army to ensure that they can access other supplies they may need such as scissors, needles, etc; all discounted.

We won’t be able to courier the yarn immediately, but we will either hold it here until the couriers reopen, or personally transport it to a meeting place for our Hawkes Bay friends to collect.
