Granny Square Card Deck: 50 Mix and Match Designs (by Claire Montgomery)

Granny Squares are an iconic motif and very special to us here, after we found the first ever pattern! From those beginnings the granny square has evolved and can now be made in many different ways. This innovative, visual card deck brings 50 different granny square patterns to life!

The sturdy box contains 50 cards, each dedicated to a granny square pattern. On the front of each card is a full colour photograph of the finished design and nothing else, and on the back is a colour coded crochet chart and joining instructions. Use the front faces to lay out cards side by side to create designs and combos, and then use the back to make your granny square dreams come to life.

Also in the box is a 32-pafe booklet, which contains a comprehensive step-by-step guide to reading and understanding crochet charts, with five side-by-side examples of pattern and chart instructions to get you started. You’ll also find advice on choosing yarns and hooks, two different methods for joining your squares together, and guidance on color placement and arrangement so that you can achieve color success every time.

Each card is 4 inches x 4 inches, and sturdy. Take the whole deck with you on the go, or slip just the card you are using into your project bag for on-the-go crochet.

Each square is made using the same hook and yarn weight and is the same finished size, so that the squares can be joined together in any combination with ease. Of course, you can make them with any yarn and in any size that suits you!
