The first mini weaving and mending loom of this style was the Speedweve, created in England in the 1940s. Since then these easy to use portable looms have been embraced by menders, often referred to generically as a speedweave. With this style of mini loom, run a finger over the row of 14 hooks to lift and lower alternate warp threads, and combine this with using your needle like a shuttle to easily weave your thread through. You’ll find the neat little woven patches emerging beneath your fingertips in no time. Once you have created basic weave patterns you can progress to creating different patterns and textures to really make your weaving stand out.

This loom is 14 hooks and will allow you to make woven patches that are a maximum 5.5cm wide by 4.5cm tall. The package includes the metal loom, the wooden backing, 1 needle, and 5 rubber bands, and instructions for use (via QR code).
