Description
Aimée Gille of La Bien Aimée is a renowned yarn dyer. She has used her taste for yarn and fashion to curate this knitwear collection. It features 14 patterns by 10 incredible designers, all made in worsted weight yarn.
Across this collection you can find garments such as sweaters and cardigans and accessories like shawls and hats. They use techniques ranging from stripes and stranded colourwork to cables and textured stitch patterns. Each pattern is in that designer’s unique style. This book features designs from: Nadia Crétin-Léchenne, Stephen West, Sylvia Watts-Cherry, Andrea Mowry, Tif Neilan, Saysha Greene, Norah Gaughan, Maxim Cyr, Nancy Marchant and Thien-Kieu Lam. And it is size inclusive, with sweaters and cardigans graded into various sizes, reaching from size 1 (30” / 75 cm bust circ.) to at least size 8 (or 65” / 165 cm bust circumference).
Worsted weight yarn, roughly 10 ply in New Zealand, is faster to knit. That makes these patterns fantastic projects to start in autumn so you will be ready to snuggle into them for winter. You can browse our range of worsted weight yarn here.
Aimée Gille was born and raised in Kansas, the United States, and later moved to France, where her passion for knitting was reignited. With Worsted, Aimée wanted to create a tangible way to connect with people through knitting and bring joy.
