Capital Fibre Fest is the largest event in our capital city, with over 40 traders selling yarn, fibre, and accessories, including us! So you’re sure to find whatever you’re seeking for knitting, crochet, and other fibre pursuits. It is a great chance to see and touch yarn, tools and more in person, and if you are in early there are goody bags at the door.
It is held in Whirinaki Whare Taonga, Upper Hutt. 2025 has expanded, so there is more room for traders in the main space, and a separate space for demonstrations and social knitting, crochet and spinning! There will be lots of chairs so you can bring your knitting, crochet, or even spinning wheel and sit and create with friends and soon-to-be-friends. There are raffles as well, so bring a gold coin or two.
